Sorry, but this is getting ridiculous. The people who have died have all been elderly with underlying health issues. COVID-19 is less contagious than the flu.
Better safe than sorry, but this is a lot of hype...
...for the record, if I die from it, all of you can cite this post as an example of someone who didn't take it seriously enough.

I agree with you but I’m also a bit of a risk taker.

Also agree the media has a lot to gain from scaring people with this info.

Well mask, as in surgical mask, actually can help stop airborne particles. A reason it can help prevent the flu. They’d suck to play in, but you’d have a souvenir IU surgical mask.

They aren’t. That’s why I said they HELP PREVENT. A reason doctors ask you to wear them. Why millions in China wear them because of all the pollution. Because it helps stop airborne particles. I’m guessing you don’t know much? Masks along with washing and sanitizing your hands and just not traveling all help.

But seriously, it is a shade overblown. And don’t tell me the fatality rate is 10x compared to seasonal influenza when we’ve had a handful of cases here. That N is still way too small. Standard precautions still rule all, but until the herd has enough sense to use them faithfully, the media has something to run with.

 

Depending on how it spreads, I fear implications on March Madness are looming.
