Just saw additional info on the Towns situation.
Harvard forward Seth Towns is having season-ending knee surgery. Towns graduates in May and will have two years to play elsewhere. This isn't a normal transfer situation. The Ivy League doesn't have graduate students.

Originally from Columbus. Turned down high major teams to go to Harvard. I’m guessing Archie and Ostrom recruited him at Dayton. It will be interesting to see if they reach out but I’m not sure another SF would make sense

And coming off knee surgery which could be a concern.  Don't know if 2 years of eligibility makes him any more appealing but as you  said, do we need another SF?

I thought Kenpom stopped including last year's results after January 1st? Five-loss Purdue sticking out like a sore thumb at #12, among teams that all have 3 losses or less. Last year all over again?

From my understanding it isn’t a particular cutoff date. It is actually the amount of games.

I was listening to the podcast on the brink and they had Bart torvik on. He has his own rankings which I encourage everyone to look at because it is a cool site.

Anyway he says that the data takes into account the last 13 games. So until a team has played 13 games, last years data will still be accounted for. But each passing game replaces the 13th game. With that said, Purdue hasn’t done much one way or the other to fall from the top. They have fallen right in line with what Kenpom has predicted of them in each gsme and therefore they haven’t gone down in rankings despite the record.

Two years of a serious on and off-court leader and fantastic, talented player?!?

Damn straight it makes sense. A logjam at the three might matter to him, but it sure as heck wouldn't matter to me. IU's computer science graduate program is ranked #55 by US News (no bueno) - he's a freaking STEM genius. And yes, Dayton recruited and offered him.

Carr the transfer from Pitt for Minny is better then I expected. I watched him light it up earlier in the year but didn’t think he could keep it up. Minny up 3 with 3:51 to go. Heck of a game

Purdoo may pull this out, but if they don’t they would be 1-2 in conference with a home win against NW, a loss to Nebraska, and a home loss to Minny.

No bueno.

And they'll move up 3 spots in KenPom. Fix your damn formula.

Carr has taken over for Minny and on his last 2 drives he should of gotten fouls shots with his baskets. From the broadcast this would be Purdue’s 5th loss at home since 2014 in B1G play
