Awesome finish in Illinois Tennessee game. Ziegler fouls out with 5 seconds left, Illinois misses first FT makes the second. Tennessee inbounds the ball to Gainey who runs down and beats the buzzer on a layup. 66-64. #1 stays undefeated.

Kaleb Banks dropped 33/16 on Florida St for Tulane today. Now averaging about 17/8 on close to 50/40/80 shooting splits and has committed a grand total of 4 TO’s in 11 games. Whatever the staff here couldn’t connect to evidently the Tulane staff has.

Wow.

Among the various indictments of Woodson and staff that one definitely rates.

I tell  you...

I have tried, really tried to watch UConn multiple times this season and I just cannot do it. McNeely eats away at me and I can't enjoy it. But I'm not mad at the kid; he obviously made the right choice for himself and didn't ignore the gigantic red flag before it was too late. He's developed more in 10 games at Uconn than he would the entire season in MW-era Bloomington.

Utterly. Gross.

UConn cannot play Mahaney in these big games.   Talk about a player that got exposed when he went up a level.   He should of stayed at St Mary’s

He really does not seem like a good fit for UConn at all. If they had landed Koby Brea instead of him going to Kentucky, they'd be really scary this year. Not writing them off but definitely more of an uphill climb than the last two years. Their fans really want to see more Ahmad Nowell instead of Mahaney. I tend to agree, but they're about to beat #8 Gonzaga in a "down" year... I think Hurley has earned the benefit of their doubt (acknowledging Mahaney is not the same portal home run Spencer was) ...

Dan Hurley after latest UConn win: ‘Maybe they were too quick to grab the shovel and throw the dirt on us’ ... lol

It’s almost hard to believe McNeeley is a freshman. He does so many things well.

Hits two clutch FT against the Zags tonight (84% for the year), he shoots from outside, takes it to the rack, passes well, rebounds, etc etc. An all-around player. For the first time ever I’m not mad about a kid spurning IU as he made, without a doubt, the right decision.

That being said, I really, really, really hope UCONN doesn’t repeat. Not because of McNeeley dumping us but because I think Hurley is a massive tool.

I’d say that decision is worth 10-20 draft spots and the resulting millions that would stem from such a spread.

At this rate I’m really curious how he ever came to sign with IU in the first place. NIL?

So last year Montverde had McNeeley, Cooper Flagg, Queen and Asa Newell (avg 16 ppg at Georgia) on the same team!!!!

I hope Coach Steven’s builds a pipeline between IU and Montverde next year.
