We'll probably land Okpara. LOL

Sadly I could see it. Ware and Walker both gone, so they'll likely want at least one portal big, 2 if they miss on Queen, for the way they've shown they want to play.

Would absolutely love to land Okpara. He is an extremely active rim protector that doesn't need the ball to be effective. The kind of big Baylor, Tennessee, Auburn have real success with.

Given a choice between Thornton and Okpara? My answer would be "yes please."

"Between 2010 and 2019, there were 39 one-and-done players selected in the first round of the NBA Draft without having won an NCAA Tournament game during their college seasons. The coaches of 27 of those players were fired, forced out, or left under pressure within five years, including Final Four veterans Rick Barnes at Texas, Ben Howland at UCLA, and Tom Crean at Indiana.

Six of those one-and-dones played for Hall of Famers who could endure beyond such disappointment: Mike Krzyzewski, John Calipari, Jim Calhoun, and Jim Boeheim. This means for those coaches who weren’t enshrined in Springfield, there was an 82 percent chance signing such a player and seeing him enter the draft without going all Greg Oden on the world was like lining up to collect unemployment — or a multi-million-dollar buyout, anyway."

Get old, stay old.

I keep noticing on all the Ohio State lists He Who Must Not Be Named is never listed.  You know, coach facial hair.

That's because it's a realistic list. He's toxic.

Maybe his PR guy who was on here (I think he got a time our or permanently banned since he hasn't been posting 500 times per day?) can go to OSU boards and stump for him there.

When Purdon't gets sent to Spokane instead of Indy for the first weekend, we'll know its because the Spokane Arena has an elevator between the locker room and the court.

With NW losing there are now 9 teams between 8-6 and 6-8 4th and brought 12th

Huh....I had to go to a board meeting and Northwestern was up 22-11 in the early going.  Must have played pretty poorly after that.

They lost a starting guard to a flagrant 2 and was already without Berry.

This was called a flagrant 2

This has completely crossed over into the high school games I've watched.....the number of flagrant foul calls is ridiculous.  Accidents happen -- and let's face it, if his arm had grazed anywhere except his nuts, they aren't even calling that a foul.  I'm starting to see flagrant fouls called on every breakaway dunk attempt where the defender makes a play and makes contact with the dunker's hands in high school games.

Bottom line, flagrant fouls should be limited to plays where the intent is to injure.
