Have you watched Baylor play this year. I know Drew has not done much in the postseason but he has done well building a solid program. I have been to Baylor before when they were a top 10 team and the arena was less than half full.

Yeah I’ve seen them play a lot. Definitely deserving of being a top seed. They played Butler earlier in the year when they were both ranked high and the place was a ghost town. This team deserves a full house when the play. Great guard play

I wonder if that has something to do with the mess that was Baylor Athletics for a few years.

Probably Texas and it being football country. I was at a game with 2 top 20 teams on ESPN and Baylor had been pretty good for a few years so you would expect the fans to be on board. But apparently it is normal to not have many people show up because right before tip off the PA announcer said enthusiastically ok bear fans, move on down. And suddenly he bottom 3rd which is all you see on tv looks full.

Maybe but given how slack the NCAA is I think it may be time to move on from that worry.

Illinois up 2 at Iowa at the under 8 timeout. This has been a heck of a basketball game. Nine lead changes. Both teams playing like their hair is on fire. I’ve got more respect for the Illini than I did before this game. I felt their schedule had been beneficial and with this five-game stretch starting today against ranked teams they were likely gonna go 1-4 or 0-5. I retract that thought. They play hard and are balanced in the front and back court. Now, they still may go 1-4 because the league is that tough, but they will be a tough out in the tourney at a 5-7 seed.
