The shockers are going to get a lower seed then they deserve because of van vleet' injury early in the season. The higher seeded team that will have to play them in the first round is not going to be happy on selection Sunday

Maryland players must get such a rush from tight games.

But, other than Maryland v. OSU, unless Oregon v. ASU goes completely off the rails tonight, this seems like a boring day of basketball for the top 25.

they are not too 25 but you should watch the last 8 minutes of the underrated Colorado (rpi 25) team vs California (rpi 33) it's on fox sports 1

I watched a good chunk of that game, definitely the best available. Plus, I really like the Cal Bears, they were helped along by my 49ers love and then their rugby team was very good during my rugby phase.

Interesting to find out from the journey on the big ten network that melo trimbles game winning shot against wisky was his first game winner in his career

Game winning shot is interesting if you think about how sports takes words that mean one thing and modify it. By which I mean, a game winner is always a shot right at the end, final possession, takes you from behind to win. But like, Yogi's 2nd free throw against Wisconsin in Assembly Hall with 3 seconds left to put us up by 4 (making it so we didn't lose or go to OT on the final buzzer beater three) was technically the game winner too, but no one would say it like that.

yeah melo himself said it was his first game winner and always wondered what it would feel like to hit one

I understand what you are saying, basically there is a game winning shot in every single game... Whoever hits the shot that gives a team more than the other team ends up scoring... But that could go for a 35 point blowout as well and nobody would say that counts as a clutch shot.

I'm honestly surprised it was Melo's first as he would come to mind for me as a clutch player (although I don't watch many Maryland games)... It just goes to show how quickly a perception could change... If Yogi were to hit just 1 he may be considered clutch by more people... I'd prefer more than 1 but the first one is the important one and he is running out of games to do it... Hopefully he has another chance and buries it

you can be a clutch player without hitting a game winning shot in my opinion. To me a clutch player makes winning plays at the end of games. Melo continuously makes winning plays and shots in the last 3 min of games. Just because he had never hit a game winner until the wisky game dosent mean he was never clutch. An example in the Maryland game at Ohio st Maryland was 2-14 from 3 and then in the last 2 minutes melo assists on a 3 and then hits a 3 himself when the game was on the line. Even though hose were not game winners it was a clutch shot and assist. they go 2-2 from 3 when they needed it. the game after melo hit the game winner agaisnt wisky I watched him miss the one against northwestern that would of won it in regulation.
While yogi has not hit an actual game winner at his time at iu, he has hit enough big shots for me to have confidence in him with the game on the line. Georgetown his freshman year he hit a clutch shot in overtime with the shot clock winding down to help win the game. The next year against Georgetown he hit 2 big 3's at end of regulation to even give us a chance to win that game in ot. The first wisky game with game tied at 53 he nails the pull up go ahead jumper before he hit clutch free throws and even in wisky game we lost he scored our last 8 points of regulation including the go ahead 3 with a minute to go just sucks we couldn't get a defensive stop. While he has missed what seems like a lot of actual game winners in the past 2 years I like the fact he is not scared of the moment and the basketball gods reward him with some game winners in March when it will count

I was at that UE game last night. Their defense is very solid. UE has a pretty solid team this year. 4 seniors and a 3 year starter Junior. They held them to 9 field goals with a little under 4 min to go in game. UE got some garbage buckets late but most of game they were locked down.

Not sure if we talked about this when it happened but I just watched replay of the last minute of wake forest vs Virginia game. Man that was hard to watch wake choke that game away. If u would like to see a team blow a 7 point lead with the ball with 28 secs left watch the ending on YouTube. I just saw it on espnu show crunch time. Brutal
