The Millennials

Recommended Posts

Because I've seen similar negative sentiments and assumptions about my generation, the Millennials, posted on here multiple times, I thought I'd provide a bit of research and fact to dispute the claims of weakness placed upon my generation. Many on here have implied that we are some type of lesser generation compared to the older generations, and it really couldn't be farther from the truth. Looking forward to the ensuing discussion.

I am a millennial and I think that article makes us look like a bunch of pansies. Our greatest aspect is that we are concerned from where our food comes from and how our clothes are made. I am not really concerned with what the other generations thinks though because the generations before them thought they were worthless also. The next generation will never live up to the previous one in the minds of their predecessors.

If you look at some of the largest issues in America, obesity, heart disease, mental illness, etc., I would argue our generation is more conscience of how we treat our bodies as we've grown up seeing the harmful results of the health choices of our predecessors. Wouldn't describe it as being "pansies".

I'm a Gen X'er.  I thought my world moved fast in my 20s and 30s, but it's nothing compared to what Millennials are experiencing.  And same here, no unfavorable opinion either way.  You have good people and jacktards in every generation.

Should we really be dividing this community into "old school" vs "new school" right now? Especially considering we have an athlete in serious condition at the moment?

It all sounds like a load of political bull **** to me.

And no, this post isn't just about this thread. And its not directed at anybody specifically. Its been an issue ive noticed for awhile now.

Its ok to disagree with each other, thats a right you're born with in America. Its the beauty of free speach. But don't divide yourselves, that only breaks down the community and builds barriers that conflict with discussion.
