Any alternatives to Dakich??????

As an ex-pat Hoosier, I depend on Dan Dakich for IU basketball talk. I love hearing Fisch on Mondays. But after his tweet this morning, I've had about enough of his shtick, and his being a complete jackass is his shtick, and was looking for other alternatives on the net I can hear good IU interviews and talk.

Any suggestions?

Said this on his show this week. While he may be right, he posted that minutes after he news came out. Seemed kind of poor taste. He runs his jackass mouth to be the "crazy shock jock that people love to hate" and he step on his you-know-what in my opinion. The act just gets old.

And I don't believe his apology he posted AFTER Deadspin posted his tweet.

@dandakich I had just read about Holts illegal consumption and OWI when I tweeted about Halloween..hadn't heard of seriousness of Davis..

Once I learned severity of Davis' injury from @JeffRabjohns I tweeted reports of Davis .. Know Davis and his dad well..praying for them"

Dak has been bitter and anti-IU since he wasn't even considered for the full time gig after Sampsongate (and rightfully so). Michigan can have him if you ask me.

Having a hard time believing it was all bad timing. He just retweeted the Deadspin article that mention his tweet. Like he was bragging. :

Have you heard him when he gushes about how great IU is? I have heard him say it numerous times. I have heard him, when talking about any great player from the state, how it should be a no brainer - they should go to IU.

All these things he has said regularly and recently. I do. It even listen that often and have heard him say this several times.

Now that being said, he is not my favorite and I stopped following him on twitter.

I don't know how you could JUST see the part about holt.... I CAN see how you could JUST see the part about Davis, just not the other way around.

I know, that's why I said that his jackass thing is just shtick. He's good when he's just talking basketball. He's knowledgeable on a level few of us could ever understand. It's the loudmouth jerk part that gets old. Like the candy stripe pants thing. He wouldn't let it go Monday and he knew the majority of fans would be upset with his stance. Just going on about it being marketing and it make him sick. Well yeah, Hoosier Hysteria is all marketing and so is every other midnight madness thing. It is marketing to fans, students and recruits. But he never let it go just to get a rise out of people. He wants to be the guy you love to hate.

It is an act, I see thru it, and I want actually broadcasting not some gimmick.

I agRe e with much of Galicia views. But what I don't like is his lack of respect to a differing opinion, or maybe it's a total lack of respect. His " I am God" attitude keeps me from tuning in most days.
