Drake introduces Calapari at pUKe's midnight madness

stumbled upon this this morning.

as if Calipari didn't already have an incredibly unfair recruiting advantage, he got Drake, a rapper (and possibly the biggest bandwagon fan of all time) for the members that don't keep up with pop culture, to introduce him at midnight madness.

Given that the majority of my generation likes his music, I'd say that approximately 100% of the recruits in attendance are probably leaning towards UK now, if they weren't already.

Yes, I know that having a rapper introduce your potential future coach shouldn't be a big factor in deciding where you attend college and play collegiate basketball. But if I were a high school prospect (and didn't despise UK with all of my heart) I'd be pretty **** impressed.

Just saying.

Edit: For those wondering why I'm up at 6am on a saturday, a game day, to post this, one word: midterm

I'll go ahead and say pass.

May I vomit now?

I remember hysteria Sampson's last year trending that way.Cant remember the  rapper's name but it was the same thing. All the while knowing we were under investigation by the NCAA.

Don't know if there's any correlation to the Ky thing but we sure can hope.

He's bad luck, just ask O$U.

I don't believe this needs its own thread.

Here's Tubby Smith's intro at Texas Tech last night.

Wait for it...

Good luck on your exams. That wasn't my most favorate time of the year. As far as Drake, I have heard some of his music and honestly don't get the hype. Whatever happened to good ole fashioned rock n roll? My best guess is a lot of it went to country music. And given the choice between country and Drake, I would probably side with Drake.

Saw Drake on ESPNU at Big Blue Madness. At one point I was considering majoring in Music at IU, so I like some songs from may kinds of Music including some of Drake's (Hip Hop). Only the clean versions though! Really miss Dave Baker's Jazz concert's at the MAC.

I've never heard of this Drake person. To me, Drake is a university in Des Moines. I'm really old.

If we got Mellencamp to MC at Hoosier Hysteria, would the recruits even know who he is? Probably not.

That might actually hurt recruiting.
