I have to actually correct myself. LeBron is 11-9 in elimination games, not 10-9.

Anyway, what do you think is a good indicator? The "eye test" isn't a reliable indicator because no two people's eyes will see the same thing.

I think that "clutch" means that a player comes up big for his team when they need him the most. There's no time that a team needs a star player more than when they are facing elimination. Elimination games are "do or die", win or go home. We're not talking about 3 or 4 games. Lebron has played in 20 of them. It's plenty big enough to use as a sample size. That's a huge number of elimination games for a player to play in during his career.

Yeah I don't know why they included that either lol. Everything else is solid but including all star game MVP seems dumb to me.

That All Star MVP brought up something else that's bothered me about LJ. Why not participate in the dunk contest? Is he afraid people won't like his dunks? Afraid to lose? This has bothered me about LJ and other superstars of this era.

I don't think he ever did the dunk contest because he's more of a power dunker. His style of dunking isn't flashy or conducive to a dunk contest.

I kind of like how the dunk contest has been in recent years where it's largely up and coming players trying to make a name for themselves rather than established stars. It gives some attention to new faces.

I would like to see a mix of up and comers, stars, and non NBA players. It's a highlight but I think the NBA could make it even bigger.

He did a good job in the Burger Boy dunk contest and won that one. It was all power, but the size and his athleticism was insane. Fun burger boy game.

I think I still have that one recorded somewhere. I went to the 2007 Burger Boy dunk contest but I never remembered that Blake Griffin won it that year until I was going through old family videos a few months ago. There was a lot of talent there that year with Kevin Love, D Rose, Eric Gordon, James Harden and Griffin all on the team.

I went to the 2007 Burger Boy dunk contest but I never remembered that Blake Griffin won it that year until I was going through old family videos a few months ago. There was a lot of talent there that year with Kevin Love, D Rose, Eric Gordon, James Harden and Griffin all on the team.

This crowd was feeling the hype for real. I tried going to a Lebron game when he was in high school. Sold out. It was crazy enough without social media. Couldn't imagine it with social media.

I would sneak out of my room after my bedtime to watch his high school games on ESPN lol. I remember my dad saying something along the lines of "no one will remember him a few years from now" meaning that he'd just be another phenom that didn't live up to the hype, so I like giving him a hard time about that every now and then.

I am just a couple of years older than him and live outside of Fort Wayne. Even when I was in high school and he was a Freshman or Sophomore people lifted him up in AAU circles. I tried going to watch him play as a Junior. Gym was full and they turned people away. Didn't even try when he was a Senior.

That's crazy. I remember reading about how they'd play home games at Akron's arena because so many people wanted to go. Like you said, that circus was without any social media. I can't even imagine what it would've been like with today's technology.

From an entertainment perspective I think it'd be interesting if they brought in a couple non-NBA players to compete in it. Have a contest beforehand where the top two guys get to be in the all-star dunk contest. There's only so many dunks out there so something like that would bring in a new touch.

Woj reporting IT4, Crowder, Zizic and pick for Kyrie. Obviously which pick is a huge question in terms of trade value. Regardless, I think this is about as good as the Cavs could expect to do. Gives them a shot at least next year (not much of one, but a shot nonetheless).
