For the first time in the history of the NBA, two rookies recorded triple-doubles in the same game.  Michael Carter-Williams has flirted with a triple-double multiple times but has fallen just shy each time. Tonight he landed his first triple-double finishing with 27 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists.  It was Oladipo, however, that was tip-toeing closest to the triple double during regulation (falling just 1 rebound short).  MCW was 2 assists shy in regulation.  Oddly, it was MCW that breached the triple-double first with Oladipo’s coming in the final seconds of the game in the 2nd overtime.    The best part about the whole ordeal?  The 2 guarded each other most of the game adding to the drama and linking them together as the standout players in the 2013 draft class.   The two play in the same conference and will meet again often. Tonight simply solidified the rivalry going forward.
