Hey guys....

I know Crean is often a sunshine pumper to start every season when asked about the team----but I think he is genuinely excited about our prospects too!  We will soon see if all the off-season hard work pays off!  I believe it will and I am ready to see IU in action!

I have just come to expect turnovers with a Tom Crean team.  Not trying to give a cheap shot or anything, but with the youth that we always have and the pace that Coach Crean wants us to play at, we're always gonna have high turnovers.  On the flipside because of the pace and interchangeable position players, particularly on the wing, we're also gonna be at the top of the Conference in trips to the Foul Line.  I guess I can live with the turnovers as long as this year the turnovers are down and they're better turnovers, you know not many unforced turnovers where we kill ourselves.  Ya know...

By impressed I mean I hope he can contribute some this year and be solid by the time he is a junior.  Like Wisconsin--I would like us to develop more bigs over time so we always have a new one ready to go when they are upperclassmen!

This is what I've been trying to say!! Teams like Wisconsin have success because they develop players and allow them time to get used to the college game. I think if we allow April and Priller to develop that they can be solid contributors.

Wisconsin isn't exactly landing players that no one has ever heard of though.  Berggren, Leuer, Nankivil were all 4*.  Brusewitz was a 3* ranked in the top 120.  Illikainen is 3* top 130.  Okay, Kaminsky was an unranked 3*.

Yeah, they let their bigs develop but they are landing some pretty decent talent to begin with.

Yeah they have landed guys that were ranked well, don't see what your point it. I wasn't saying they take on guys who are nobodies and develop them. You're right but they do allow time to develop players, which was my point. We have landed some talented players and bigs and had our fair share of players who didn't end up being what we thought but got give time to some guys

My point is someone like Priller isn't exactly a good comparison for the developing bigs angle.  Priller is someone that no one had ever heard of and only had offers from the likes of Incarnate Word and that is not on the same level as what Wisconsin is landing and letting develop.

They're not taking nobodies and developing them into contributors, that is the point.  You're saying they're letting players develop, but you're not mentioning that they're starting with decent players to begin with.  You can't really say "let Priller develop, like Wisconsin is doing" because Wisconsin isn't starting with the likes of Priller they're starting with players that were more highly thought of.

EDIT:  It's not an apples to apples comparison is what I'm saying.
