Pre-Conference Record Prediction

Recommended Posts

I'm going to guess 11-2 with losses to Louisville and Georgetown. I would definitely predict 10-3 but with the guys SMU (and the guys SMU is missing) and Pitt being, and the turmoil at Butler with their coach out on leave, I think we should win those games.

We got to be smarter than him. Maybe sucker him into sitting alot because of fouls. who would be the best player to sit him down? Troy?

If we can get Troy to draw him out that'd be great. Devin showed some handles in Canada too so maybe we could get him out on the perimeter with either one of those guys. I don't see any of our bigs getting him in trouble on the block though.

why would anyone follow Troy or Devin any further than 10 feet from the basket? Neither have shown they can hit the mid range it long ball

But then I mentioned Devin's small flash of handles, thus driving. If we get him 10 feet from the basket, he's far enough out to be vulnerable to a driver.

With the events of the last couple weeks, I'm changing mine to 10-3...

I'll say 10-3.  I think we are going to be too dependant on outside shooting to win consistently.  With that said, the quality of shooters we have coming in will allow us to compete with almost anybody.  Crean's teams always seem to find a way to rebound at a good rate, regardless of size.  I see us surprising some teams, while also throwing in some perplexing performances.
