CHECKING OUT THE COMPETITION
Maryland enters the weekend on an 11-game skid with the last win coming against Michigan State on April 10. Last week, the Terrapins were swept by No. 24 Minnesota in Minneapolis.

Offensively, Maryland is led by Skylynne Ellazar who is batting .381 with 53 hits, 28 runs and 23 RBI. The Terrapins primarily rely on the trio of Brenna Nation (7.40 ERA, 5-20, 37 appearances), Madison Martin (4.59 ERA, 2-9, 31 appearances) and Hannah Dewey (9.30 ERA, 3-9, 30 appearances) in the circle.

These two teams last met in Bloomington in April 2015. Maryland picks up wins in the opener and finale with Indiana earning an 11-8 victory in the second game of the series. Shannon Cawley had a huge weekend against the Terrapins a year ago as she hit .667 with nine RBI on 8 hits and two homers, including a grand slam in the Indiana win. In that victory, she registered a career-best six RBI.

LAST TIME OUT
Indiana closed out the home portion of the schedule with a three-game set against the Buckeyes over the weekend. The Hoosiers earned a 5-4 win in the first game of Friday's doubleheader via an eighth-inning walk-off RBI double by Cawley to score freshman Sarah Galovich. The Buckeyes earned a 5-3 win in the second game of the DH. In the finale, senior Michelle Huber hit her second career grand slam to propel Indiana to a 5-3 win. The series victory against the Buckeyes was the first for the Hoosiers since 2011.

Josie Wood earned a pair of wins in the series, tossing 10,0 innings and making appearances in all three games with a 3.50 ERA.

CAWLEY COMING UP BIG
Redshirt senior Cawley has been on a tear lately, Dating back to last Saturday's game against Rutgers, she is batting .563 with 9 hits - including 3 doubles and 2 homers, 5 runs and 7 RBI. Three of the five games in that stretch have been multi-hit efforts, including a 3-for-4 outing with a pair of runs in the first game of the series with Ohio State.

HOOSIERS FINDING THE LONG BALL
In the last five games, Indiana has knocked five homers to bring the season total to 21. Junior CaraMia Tsirigos is leading the way with six, including two in the last four games. She hit a three-run shot to tie up the game on Friday, setting the stage for Cawley's walk-off double.

Huber's grand slam on Sunday was the second of the year for Indiana. Tsirigos knocked one against No. 3 Auburn on March 4 and senior Kelsey Dotson hit one against Evansville on March 12.

SINGLE-SEASON MARKS
• Freshman Tara Trainer's 172 strikeouts are good for 10th-most in a single season and the most ever for an Indiana freshman. The previous high was Amy Unterbrink's 165 tossed during her freshman campaign in 1983.
• Sophomore Rebecca Blitz has 28 stolen bags on the year, good for fourth-most in a single season in IU history.
• As a team, the Hoosiers have knocked 60 doubles this season, good for 10th-most in a single season at Indiana. Cawley leads the way with 10, while Huber and senior Kelsey Dotson each have eight.

WRAPPING UP PLAY AT ANDY MOHR FIELD
The Hoosiers played 22 games at Andy Mohr Field this season, the most in the stadium's four-year history, and finished with a home record of 13-9. Indiana's 13 home victories are also the most in a single season since the field open in 2013.

Indiana went 7-3 in non-conference action at home and 6-6 in Big Ten play.

Highlights from the home schedule include a no-hitter by freshman pitcher on March 12 against Evansville and a three-game sweep of Iowa to open Big Ten play on March 25-27.

Trainer, Uden Named to B1G All-Tournament Team

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Freshman Tara Trainer and sophomore Taylor Uden have been named to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team, the conference announced Saturday night.

Trainer, a native of Lebanon, Ohio, tossed a complete game shutout to lead Indiana past Wisconsin on Thursday night. She picked up six strikeouts while surrendering just four hits and did not allow a Badger runner to get past third base in Indiana's first Big Ten Tournament victory since 2006.

Uden, a native of Glendale, Ariz., went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a home run in that victory against Wisconsin. In addition, she picked up a hit in the loss to No. 2 Michigan on Friday night.
