Indiana vs. Ottawa Game Thread

Just a thought about people automatically assuming that there is no way a canadian team could beat an american team think about this...

The past two #1 picks in the NBA drafts have been canadian nationals (Bennett and Wiggins). Canada all the sudden has been producing tons of basketball talent (look at the recent big we are trying to get last second who decommitted to Oregon). the reigning B1G POY was a Canadian national.

Now correct me if I am wrong, but this is a recent phenomenon of having a massive amount of Canadian players playing for USA colleges. The players that IU played against yesterday seemed to be older (22-24?), at least that is what I have been hearing. I haven't done the research, so someone please correct me if this assumption turns out to be false.

So, assuming that people from Canada have been playing basketball longer than 3 years, players that today may have went to a college here in the good ole USA instead played basketball for Canadian teams and developed their skills there.

Not saying that the opposing teams players are NBA caliber or anything. Just players that if they had been playing in high school in today's world would maybe have gotten some attention from American Colleges.

Just a thought I had while reading some tweets and such about the game. I find the whole attitude of "They are Canadian, they must suck 'cause 'merica" attitude funny. I love my country, but to just cast off people and programs of other countries simply because they are other countries doesn't hold any merit in my opinion.

Revised box score from ITH: attachicon.gifImageUploadedByBtownBanners1407727461.603291.jpg Up to 24 assists now. That's better. Also no Ritchie today either. Thought he got some decent minutes the other night. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I'm confused when looking at Nick Zeisloft's stats here, could someone please explain?
Looks like he made 2 two point shots, and 2 three point shots.  which would be a total of 10 points right?  why does it only show TP of 6?

My guy Nicky Zee continues to impress. Can shoot the 3 and had 4 assists, no turnovers. Nice. Looks like a solid contributor.

I want to see this guy in some live action! Seems like he was a solid addition to this squad. I was a little suspect but knew that Crean knows 10x more about basketball than any of us.

I was halfway tempted to reply to that. Lol.

lol, I would hope people aren't so thin-skinned that my remark would call for anyone to respond.. that was not meant as a shot to anyone. I just remember on the signing day, I'm thinking what exactly are we doing, recruiting wise, this year.
