And to someone who could have been a Hoosier. The story goes that Gibson wanted to play basketball at IU. But his high school coach was told in a letter by Branch McCracken (who, ironically, recruited the first Black player to IU): "We have already filled our quota of Negroes."

What a turd that NL Central turned out to be. The most remarkable thing is all 4 teams combined to muster 19 total runs in 9 games. Yet 16 came from the putrid offense of the Cardinals.

Nancy is by far the greatest “player” in White Sox history.

Here she is in 1980, with second year White Sox Manager Tony LaRussa.

I thought Theo would get us multiple championships. Still, one is better than none. I thought he'd stay one more year, but some big decisions loom and if he's not gonna be around beyond next year, he shouldn't be the one making them.  

He went all-in in 2016 and pretty much sold the farm to get Chapman and I suspect after 108 years without a title, it was worth it. From a die-hard Cubs fan of nearly 50 years, thank you, Theo! We'll always have 2016! ...

Yep Jed Hoyer is taking over.  I wouldn’t be surprised if Theo takes over the Phillies or has something with the Mets.  We are definitely blowing up the team this year.
