Dalton26 Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Taveras, Hernandez, Ventura, and Marte off the top of my head in the last year or so alone. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Micah Johnson @Micah_Johnson3 So sad. Ventura was first pitcher I faced in my MLB debut. 13 pitches we battled, he won. I would do anything to battle him one more time. ALASKA HOOSIER, HoosierAloha, hsrtxp and 1 other 4 Quote

Brass Cannon Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 You would think that Matheny would be better at seeing when a pitcher just doesn't have it. Dude really needs to get a shorter rope Quote
LIHoosier Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Aaron Judge is the best #99 since Gretzky. Judge and Schwarber in the same stadium this weekend is going to be great. Quote

TheWatShot Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Anybody willing to trade a bag of baseballs for Francisco Rodriguez? Dude is worthless. Just blew a save for the second day in a row and leads the league with four on the year. WayneFleekHoosier and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote
Brass Cannon Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 You would think a former catcher could run a pitching staff but nope. God damn I wish the cardinals would ditch this Zero I hate losing to the Red Sox more than anybody. Quote
Brass Cannon Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Mike Marheny has had 5 years to figure out how to manage his pitchers he absolutely positively can't do it. Yet we extended the bum. It's mind boggling. When you make money whether or not your competently ran the motivation to be competent goes away i genuinely dislike this guy more than Crean because he took over the World Series champs and his incompetence is just painful Quote

Sent from my SM-G935P using BtownBanners mobile app You could be the Tigers. We've lost 5 games this year when leading in the 9th inning. We won't get rid of the 35 year old pitcher who's blown four of them (despite fastball velocity dropping the last three years) and we've kept Anibal Sanchez and his 10+ ERA on the roster despite both of them being in contract years. Oh, and we're paying the corpse of Victor Martinez to jog around the bases this year and next, and we're paying Justin Verlander and his 4.5 ERA to pitch here two more seasons after this one, to the tune of $28 million per year. This is also happening after our owner passed this winter, leaving the team to his kids, who don't seem interested in spending as much as he did. There's more, but I'll stop. Baseball sucks. Quote
