Taking the train to Baltimore tomorrow for game 2! First game I ever attended was with my dad Orioles-Royals in Camden Yards. My dad acquired two great seats tomorrow from a client!

Let's Go O's!

Go Orioles!!!! Camden Yards is literally the best stadium in the Majors. Absolutely beautiful!!!!!

You want Peavy after last night?

Didn't even watch lol. I just saw an article this morning where Lester and Peavy wouldn't mind going as a package this summer.

Edit: And yes..I would. He'd be an improvement over probably 4 of our 5 last year. Even after last night.

Fair enough. I think Shields would probably go, given that he pitched under Joe in Tampa. He'd be a great option, much better than peavy, and that connection makes it much more likely.

I think both scenarios are fairly likely. Peavy and Lester are buddies from that Boston team and then like you said the Shields and Maddon connection. I wouldn't be mad either way. Adding Arrietta, the top 3 in the rotation should be pretty nasty.

hope the braves front office dislodges its head from its collective ass and takes a note from the giants on how to win, start rewriting the "braves way" that hasn't advanced past the nlds in 13 seasons.  it's about reliable pitching depth, a lineup full of gritty, professional hitters, defenders that care about not allowing a runner an extra base, baserunners that take every base they can, and a clubhouse filled with veteran-like confidence and poise supplemented by little league camaraderie.  nothing about power in there.  nothing about high-paid players.

power-hungry lineups like the braves in recent seasons don't win consistently, have slim-to-none odds of being a true contender.  contenders don't have players like justin upton.  i'll be immensely disappointed if he isn't traded.  his brother is as good as gone, along with an unearned 75 million.  about **** a brick when I saw j-up was nominated for a gold glove, serving as this year's annual reminder that it's a complete joke of an award.  the dude infuriated me nightly with his lackadaisical play in left.  imagine a freshman christian watford making 14.25 million.  if your team lands him, that's what you're getting.
