Naturalhoosier Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Let's use this thread to place our daily MLB conversations. We sort of took over the 'Who do you root for' thread. Go Astros. Hoping for a Sweep of the Yanks tonight!!!!!Sent from the can using BtownBanners Naturalhoosier and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote
Dalton26 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Had a chance to be 3-0 but gave the game up in the 9th twice. Papelbon is a huge waste of money. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Naturalhoosier 1 Quote

I'd rather have a retired, injured Brad Lidge. Dalton26 1 Quote

I hate the direction of the team, even though I really like our outfield, fwiw. Dalton26 1 Quote

I'm really big on Asche and Revere I've seen people knock them but I hope they stay in Philly for a very long time. Hopefully we'll see Franco at some point this season too. It would be ideal if he could play 1st so he could take over for Ryan Howard when the time comes. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

His body is just breaking down and he's not the same anymore. I wish we had a DH. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app djsalway 1 Quote
JSHoosier Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Only the third game of the year and already sitting Ellsbury and McCann and Johnson to start a washed up Ichiro and a career minor leaguer in Solarte. Yep, Girardi is at it already. EDIT: Oh, and a rapidly declining Mark Teixiera is batting cleanup even with a surgically repaired wrist. Yeah, this should be fun. Quote
Naturalhoosier Posted April 4, 2014 Author Posted April 4, 2014 Astros strike first in the bottom of 1! Altuve beats out the double play at first and get's a run across. Hustle pays off! Quote

JSHoosier Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Tanaka's debut has been pretty impressive. 7 IP, 6 hits, 3 runs (2 earned), 0 BB, 8 K LIHoosier 1 Quote
djsalway Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Phillies actually pulled one out because Papelbon wasn't needed. Dalton26 1 Quote
