Yeah this seems weak to me. It's not the talking about it that seems unfair to me (It's the internet say what you want) but for mods to state it as fact without saying why is really unfair to the kids. That on top of if anybody questions it they will be pushed aside as uninformed is just disappointing.

I will say that I have personally confirmed multiple things Basketball4u has posted. That being said, everyone can get wrong information from time to time so don't take everything he says as the truth. Still use caution to what he says and try to find other sources to confirm.

I've had discussions with him outside of the forum and don't believe he would come and troll fans or post rumors. Just want to make sure other posters don't go crazy if they see him post something in the future. Always use caution when reading a message board!!

Nothing against you Basketball4u, just making sure we don't have issues down the.

I was critical of that poster at first, it's easy for some new person to make an account and say things backed only by "trust me".  I've also said you even need to take IU's reports with a grain of salt because they have an obvious interest in shedding the best possible light on themselves.  In this case, I'm siding with the mods though and saying it's unfortunately legit.

Not sure how questioning the validity of the information as this point makes the information less truthful. I imagine all the sources and the mods (along with the fans) wished this stuff was rumor, but it isn't. I understand the reaction to lash out at bad news or disappointment, but those reactions don't change reality. The staff was mismanaged which led to the players being mismanaged...unfortunate. Crean still has a chance to right the wrongs, but he has to make moves involving his staff, or this problem will not go away. Maybe it might impact recruiting in the short term, but long term program health is more important. I think its safe to say his job depends on what he does to correct the issues. I wish him luck...he's gonna need it.

Trust me I am always skeptical of reports on message boards. What you posted is more what I was looking for. Can't tell if mods are saying this report is 100% true or if they trust this poster isn't a troll.

As far as previous information he has posted about player transfers, Noah going pro, and failed drug tests, that information has been sourced outside of forum postings, and beyond the two posters here who broke the news on the drug tests. We also trust that he is not a troll. As far as naming sources? Thats a no-no.

That's understandable.  I usually take things said on message boards with a generous helping of salt, but sometimes there are posters that do have information.
