This was brought up during the Iowa State game, but UCONN is playing close to what amounts to be a home game. How on earth did a 7 seed get virtual home games in the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight?

I figured they were a sort of throwback.  I like that they're just simple designs though.  None of this poorly executed "water mark" by Nike that just looks like a giant sweat stain.

Yeah I love these. I think it's the same design as the gold they wore against Georgetown this year. Those were cool too. We're lucky enough to always be wearing our throwbacks.

Yeah, although I would be on board with an alternate to use once a year or so.

 

One thought on the watermark thing Nike does, maybe it looks so bad in execution because they try to fit so much in.  Maybe if they kept simple, like in our case the IU trident, it wouldn't be so bad.

Duke, UNC, MSU,Cuse and others wore them but I know that Duke and MSU kept them longer than 1 game. I'm not watching at the moment but I'm assuming they are the white ones with the cursive state?

Yeah the watermark is extremely cool when you're up close and can actually see it. A simple design would probably work a lot better.

Yeah they are. And they have the big spartan on the side of the shorts. Duke's were really nice too.

That's what got me thinking about it.  They use intricate designs and it's great when it's up close, but from a distance it looks like a sweat stain because with the camera further away it's essentially fitting everything in a smaller space.  Like what happens when an intricate tattoo is too small.

 

I'd like to see them do a simple design once and see who it looks on camera.  Since this is the MSU game, put MSU in vertical letters or maybe the spartan head and see how it looks.

MSU did a great job of getting their D tightened down until their offense started showing up a bit. They righted the ship, but I don't think they can afford to start this half like the last one.
