Yogi-"roller-coaster season"

Recommended Posts

You forgot this quote from Vince Lombardi which seems appropriate for this season: "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON OUT THERE!"
I hope there's hope for next year. I couldn't bear another debacle like this one. A major change would be in order IMO.

This season was not "a debacle".

It simply didn't turn out as well as we hoped.

Could be about his personal season. Love Yogi coming out of PT but his shot and turnovers digressed. Started off hot, struggled in B1G but had moments of exceptional achievements. You can't knock his determination but coaches need to help him with decisions and shooting. He's got the talent!

He just meant the highs of a Wisconsin win the lows of Penn State. Definitely an up and down season. Oh Yoyo, I feel ya buddy. Come on home. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I'm sure it must be frustrating to have the big wins like Wisconsin and not be able to build from them for more consistency. I definately don't think it was from player effort, etc... You won't have to read many of my posts to understand what I think the real issue was/ is. Tell Yogi we are all proud of him regardless of which side of the fence we're on. All of us want him and the team to be successful.

I'd say it wouldn't be far off.  We should never miss the tournament with a 68 team field, period even a down year should be in the tournament, and we played like crap for a good portion.

If it wasn't a debacle, it wasn't far off.

I'll come up to "very disappointing".

Pete D tells it like it is.... Good article.
Truth hurts though.http://www.news-sentinel.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20140314/SPORTS/140319771/1030/IU

Spot on. IU has some nice, talented players and should have done better record wise. The writers comments about our offense sounds like he may be one of our posters.

With offense is just further baffles me that people want Mike Woodson as the coach. Go watch the dude throughout his coaching career, a lot of it is putting it in his best players hand, first Josh Smith, now Melo, and running a ton of isos. People complain about Crean's offense being that way, Woodson would be that way X10.
It's terrible.
We went from "We're Back!" To "We were back and we don't have an idea in heck where we're at right now."
Inexcusable.
Hey maybe in a year or two they can bring out the "we're back" shirts that didn't get sold...

Just remembering some of our stellar TO's Thursday ..... The first 2 possessions were of the 8th grade variety. Then, NV's used up dribble and decided that that wasn't enough so he took off dribbling again..... That was of the 7th grade variety.
I dislike speaking this way of the Hoosiers but we really are the "buckle of the clown belt" so to speak right now.
Deplorable. No excuse for it that I can discern.
