(2014) SF Josh Cunningham to Bradley

Recommended Posts

I am pretty sure HWY1 that was Marvin Clark's visit.  Cunningham actually visited for that great game we beat Ohio State without Vonleh, if I remember correctly.

But yeah, go figure!  Cunningham's cooling is a little more of a mystery.  But then again, who isn't cooling?  :( Oh yeah, Jeremiah April!

Maybe this kid just sees a better fit elsewhere. He'd be stupid to go here just because "It's Indiana" rather than go to a better place for him at Bradley, South Carolina, or St. John's

I believe nobody booed the players, they booed the subbing patterns.  Several sources back that up at 247 and the Herald Times.

Do you really think it matters to the kid going out on the floor what someone on a message board says about who was getting booed? The kids walked out on the floor and booing occurred. To that kid he's getting booed on his own court. It was a classless act by the fans no matter what their intentions may or may not have been. Regardless the intention, the kid was getting booed by his own fans. You can say it was on Crean's sub pattern but the bottom line is the boos were because a certain kid was put on the floor instead of another. The kid in the end is getting booed by his own fans. There's simply no way around that and saying you were booing Crean not the kid is only making yourself feel better. It doesn't help the walkon who busts his ass in practice and was thrown into the fire.

No excuse for it. None at all.

And that player who was getting booed (in a roundabout way, but still) may or may not have transferred after the season.

yeah, i was embarrassed when hearing the booing at assembly hall.  While we're at it, let's get rid of the "fatheads" during free throws.  tryin to stay classy here

What's the classy way to try and distract your opponent during free throws? Or is silence the polite answer?

Honestly I think mostly everyone took it as slight against Crean and not the players.  I believe there were two or three subs at one time so it wasn't pin pointed in one individual but an action that was taken.  I was fine with the booing under those circumstances because if an entire stadium voices their concern it's a peaceful sign to the administration that certain standards are expected of a program and that they were not being met.  It's a wake up call. I've been a season ticket owner for the past twenty years and I've never seen an entire stadium protest like that.  To me it was a release of frustration and not a slight on any one individual but the Coaching staff.

Just my opinion.

I rather have them boo then start riots, and burn trees like they did when Coach Knight got fired. That was disgraceful.

If I remember correctly, the boos happened AFTER the players had subbed in and played before we blew that lead and the timeout was called. We all knew what was going to happen with that sub pattern and the fans wanted to let Crean know we aren't stupid.

We are talking about separate events. The booing of Crean's sub patterns/players and a separate claim by ND Kendrick that things were being shouted and heard by the players ON Indianas bench. Directed towards individuals.

I have no problem with booing Creans crazy sub patterns but malicious things should not be shouted to college ball players.
