The game is changing in order to win you either recruit one and done players bc that's where the talent is. Or you recruit kids off of pure fundamentals and develop them.

He was money during the season when they let him on the court before the last few games that I saw.

CWat, Hulls, and Sheehey were all good four year players. Elston and VJIII were solid for their roles.

I would argue that it's all about the one and done. Duke had a very experienced Quinn Cook and another upperclassman in Jefferson that helped them to a title. MSU had several seniors that played important roles for a FF run. Most of the important players for Wiscy were upperclassmen. IU needs a solid core of 3-4 year players with a one and done or two in the mix.

You'll say you don't want a mediocre program but then you willnt want us to get rid of dead weight to add great players

You don't go all willy nilly with a roster though. You don't maintain good relationships with high school coaches by just throwing their former player off a team. We can't build a good program by constantly getting rid of dead weight. That great recruiting staff is the same one who landed that dead weight you want to get rid of. Doesn't add up.

And what did we have in those back to back Sweet 16 years, the best of the Crean era? We had a senior VJIII and a solid group of juniors with a developing Oladipo and a great frosh in Zeller. The next year that solid group of juniors were seniors, Oladipo blew up, Zeller was Zelering, and a solid frosh point.

The year we had a one and done and were young we were barely above .500. The next year without any seniors we were one and done in the tourney.

We should continue to kick upperclassmen to be off the team to get younger and continue to piss of high school coaches (family members).

Who posted it would be a bad thing? I would love to have Thon and Murray. If we play the way I think Crean will be playing we will need more guard depth. I won't be happy if Davis is off the team because "we don't think he will ever be as good as we projected him to be."
