Indiana vs Notre Dame Post-Game Thread

Recommended Posts

We are NIT bound. Only good news is that Troy and Noah will be back as neither is even close to being NBA Ready. I have given up on Hollowell; he's just not good.

Here is the problem. I felt many people had high expectations for this team. We have so much talent, but we lack key things. IU will be fine, but this team just has to grow. Most of these guys just haven't figured it out because of youth. Hollowell doesn't suck or needs to be gone. He hasn't found himself just yet, but will. He is a lot like Ross from OSU, he was a non-factor for a lot of last season until it just clicked. Now look at him! Vonleh is very good, but like the other young guys, there is so much for these guys to learn.

IU doesn't have shooters, not very good leaders, and lack experience. This team is athletic, long, and has an incredible upside. It will just take time.

Had planned on staying but couldn't do it after a loss like that. To not even have the lead for 1 second against a team that lost to North Dakota state is baffling to me. They got out coached so bad in what was basically a home game. The substitution pattern was horrible the defense was horrible inside and the defensive scheme calling was horrible. Ferrell might have had the worst final minute of basketball I have ever seen.

If Indiana beats Michigan State January 4, everyone will love Tom Crean again.

This isn't last year's team, or the year before. I think we lack leadership, but this team still has a chance to be good.

These freshmen aren't one-and-done super freshmen. We can't expect them to stroll in and knock off every good team, especially away from home.

Big Ten play will be interesting.

I hope to goodness you are right about him, Jaybob.  I have to be honest though, with every passing game I find myself more and more frustrated with JH and doubting the inevitability of that "clicking."  I would be glad to be wrong on that one.

Is there any way we can pin that final statement of yours somewhere for a constant reminder of what this year is going to be like?  That is a great summary of where we are and I believe where we are headed.  Everyone likes to say, "there will be ups and downs this season," but then some freak out with the downs.  We'll be fine, but like you said it's going to take time.

Glad Will found a shooting stroke. But other than him we didn't appear to have much going on offensively, and even then he had 5 turnovers. Expecting to win the next two, don't have a clue what to expect after that. Have to pull off an upset here and there in B1G play if we want an at large birth in the NCAAs. Keep waiting for a break out game from JH or Hanner and it just hasn't come....... not going to get my hopes up, but that this hasn't happened yet is definitely a bit concerning right now

Meh it's so hard to gauge any team this year, unc loses to two bad school then rips msu and uk... Msu barely beats an Oakland team that we just crushed... Thinking Wisconsin, uconn and Syracuse might be the most consistent teams this season..

My. 2 cents. Gordon and Davis should start . Gordon is our best defender and can score . Davis is very active and shows a "want to" that is nonexistent in JH so far. Will should continue his former role of being a spark off the bench. I would also rather see Colin get the minutes Austin is getting, Austin gets an open 10 footer and freezes? Finally we need to stop this mass substitution pattern and figure out a rotation. Ok, I feel better. GO HOOSIERS!
