Coffman's leaving seems more believable than Sudfeld. Coffman was just never really an option this season. Don't see that changing and he probably doesn't either.

Yes, and he could drop down a division and start for about any team out there. One thing about him, Coffman wants to be the guy out there. He's a baller. He might love to be at IU, but if he is not going to play the rest of his college career, I'd love to see him move to somewhere he can. He would tear it up in the lower divisions.

Coffman leaving makes logical sense but we do have Diamont coming in next year so it will maybe still end up being a three man rotation for quarterback.

Dustin Dopirak of the Hoosier scoop commented on Coffman perhaps moving to a 1AA. But they nedd to have a clear starter after fall camp.

No, we wouldn't necessarily have a rotation. Plus Diamont would be 2 years back. While he would definitely be competing for the spot, he would have a couple of years after Suds and Tre are gone, 3 if he redshirts.

With injuries, you are always one play from Starting. Should Tre go down in Week 1 again, I'm pretty sure you'd be changing your tune on Sudfeld leaving. You just never know.

Don't forget, IU Football is getting another West-Coast QB next season in Zander Diamont. Could be another reason Sudfeld might be on the way out. will be interesting to see how this unfolds.
