IU vs Wisconsin GAME THREAD

Recommended Posts

I think IU should keep the defense the same and be the laughing stock of the Big10. They don't want to make changes, then IU is going to keep getting embarrassed like this. Just so sick of IU football being complacent with below sub par right now. My rant for the day! Just so sick of the athletic department for not getting it together and getting rid of Mallory.

I'm sick of Wilson always saying the offense needs to do more, even though most weeks the offense puts enough points on the board to win and the "defense" let's them down.

I'm sick of the up tempo offense.

I'm almost to the point where I want Wilson fired, along with his staff.

Then we could hire a defensive minded coach like Kirby Smart from Bama and find an OC who runs a one-back offense.

I feel the same way. Wilson isn't doing anything to help the defense with the way he runs his offense. I like you am also partial to the one back offense.

If your defense is awful you control the clock and keep them off the field as much as possible not the other way around.

I don't see Kirby Smart coming to IU unfortunately.

Running back by committee helps limit wear and tear on each back though, and seems like it's becoming more and more common.  Granted there are times it seems like it doesn't really allow one back to get in a good groove.

The up tempo offense isn't doing any favors, but the defense could help itself some by not being utterly useless on 3rd down.

You can use as many different running backs in the formation as you want. The formation I'm talking about means you only have one back in the backfield like Bama. Look at Alabama. Yeldon is their primary back but Drake isn't getting stiffed on carries either. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

By one back offense I thought you meant an offense where one workhorse back gets the bulk of the carries.  Running back by committee is using a different back on pretty well each down (i.e. one back on 1st, and switch him out on 2nd, etc).
