To me this is key. I can't stand the flavored beers where it is overpowering.

Yeah I think most typical beer drinkers (which I am NOT) would definitely enjoy one of these. The banana bread is subtle enough not to be a glorified juice, but not so subtle to where it just tastes like "beer".

Starting off with Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Tropical IPA. Not bad, I get more orange than tropics fruit (Papaya and mango are listed). The hops are more in the nose than in the taste. Pretty clean finish. About 7%, so that's nice. I'm more of a centennial hop person, but would drink this again

Friend of mine picked me up a 6-pack of Bell's Hopslam Ale, one of my top favorite beers. If you guy haven't tried it, I highly recommend it. Brewed with six different types of hops and honey, it creates a very balanced, citrusy, and easy to drink IPA. At 10% ABV, you only need two or three to feel a good buzz. I purposely set them away so I can drink them once the tournament starts.

This is one of my favorites too. I missed the release for cans this year but caught it on tap once.

I tried Illusive Traveler this weekend, their grapefruit shandy. I'm a big fan of Traveler's pumpkin beer, Jack-O-Traveler, so I decided to give it a shot. Pretty good, very grapefruity! Definitely a good one for the beer drinker who doesn't like that beer taste very much. Not hoppy, not bitter, but still recognizable as a beer.
