I will post an article here shortly about what the Cardinals may look to do this offseason. Mo is really wanting to upgrade the team, and the Cards staff really wants to resign Heyward.

I hope they do and can put Piscotty at first. Let Pham be the 4th outfielder, and Piscotty can be the 5th for injuries.

I just can't see having Matt Carpenter, your top HR, doubles, RBI, and strikeout (151) guy batting lead off. Plus (according to baseball references) he only had 4 sb and 3 cs. That is not my idea of a lead off batter.
I would also love to see Jhonny ground into a double Playralta traded.
They definitely need to make some changes in the off season or we'll have another anemic offense in 2016.

I completely agree with Jhonny. His stock is very high, and could use him as a big trade piece. Put him and Matt Adams in a trade, I bet they could get a very good player in return.

Carp isn't a typical lead-off hitter, but he thrives in that spot. I think he is more of a #2 guy, but he has great hitting production leading off.

Not surprised, the boss men stated multiple times they they thought this would be a good deal after his good regular season performance. Garcia's 2016 option has been exercised. Wonder if an underlined reason is to trade him mid-way through the season to get a good player in return?

Winter Meetings are almost here. I heard that we were actually set to sign Price until Boston came in and swooped him up. Freaking Boston! Will be interesting because the Cards have to get a 1B or a RF, along with a decent starting pitcher. I want to resign Heyward, but worried about his price tag.

Looks like it's Heyward or bust for the outfield market.... Must mean they are going to pay him big and give the reigns to Piscotty at 1st. Wonder if they are working on something via trade for a pitcher.

Also, Mo was just asked about it being a necessity adding a starting pitcher, and he said no. Interesting. We do have a very solid lineup, just the injury bug is high with these guys.

Waino, Wacha, Martinez, Garcia, and as of right now, will be Gonzalez or Lyons (possibly Cooney, but I doubt it).

I wonder if a SP will be a focus after the meetings when everything shakes out.

Saw were the GM said they will not pursue another OF in free agency. However, that makes me wonder if the rumors are true about the Cardinals pursuing a trade with the Rockies for Cargo. In that case, that makes Matt Adams expendable, along with probably Gonzalez or Cooney.

Just ready for the Cardinals to do something lol.

Here's a link to the article that the Cards won't chase after anymore OF's. They are looking to upgrade the rotation. If Waino, Wacha, Martinez, and Garcia were not injury prone, I would love to let the 5th spot go to one of our up and comers, but we can't take that risk. Hope we can land a stud via trade.
