NatHillIV Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Z and Noyan both have 3 fouls. Welcome to Maryland. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 4 Author Posted January 4 And Z just picked up her 4th foul. :-( Quote
LamarCheeks Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Noyan gets hip checked almost out of bounds -- yet she gets called for traveling. Oy-vey. NatHillIV 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 4 Author Posted January 4 We shoot 60% and we still trail by 7! MD has 8 off. bds. and netted 9 pts from those bds. Our TO number is atrocious and MD got 16 pts of those. Quote
HoosierHoopster Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Garzon 2-8 For MD it’s the Okananwa show 16 pts. No other MD player with more than 5, foul discrepancy ridiculous but obvious Socka’s getting back to game speed — great that she’s back, just a matter of time for her to play at her level Quote
TheWatShot Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Always at least one of the same 3 issues with this team: 1) Zero rebounding 2) Too many turnovers 3) Too many fouls Sometimes it's only one of the three. Other times, it's two of them. In some games, it's all three. Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote
HoosierHoopster Posted January 5 Posted January 5 On the positive side we’re down 7 despite Ciezki only taking 2 shots. Two. total rebounds a wash - 13 to 12 so far Shooting 5-8 from deep, without Ciezki shooting and 11-17 overall. TO’s killing us along with some complete bullsh fouls, but otherwise our gals are very much in the game Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 5 Author Posted January 5 MD on a 12-0 run to open the 3rd. 51-32 with 6:16 in the 3rd. Quote
NatHillIV Posted January 5 Posted January 5 (edited) 12 zip run in what has become a way too typical start of third quarter. 73 opponent to 26 IU in Big 10 third quarters according to Austin Render. Edited January 5 by NatHillIV Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 5 Author Posted January 5 Austin Render just said we average a -12 3rd Q scoring margin. OliviaPope40 1 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Dayum -- that escalated quickly. Spanning halftime, we went from down 3 to down 18 pretty quick. Quote
TheWatShot Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Remember when we used to be good, and we were known for just mauling our opponents in the 3rd quarter? OliviaPope40 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 5 Author Posted January 5 Unfortunately, there's a lot of good women's teams in the B1G this year and sadly, we ain't one of them. Next Thurs. night we play at Nebraska (13-2) WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
