Last game of 2025 brings the Gophers (9-3) to Bloomington.  Another important visitor Monday night is IU target '27 Finley Parker from River Ridge HS in Woodstock, GA.  It's hinted that a late winter/early spring commitment decision is possible.  The Gophers average 79 ppg with a +28 scoring margin.  They average 43 rpg with a +10 margin.  They protect the ball with just 10 TOs/gm.   Our comparable per game stats are 75 / 34 / 14 so unless we bring our A+ game, it might be a long night for the IU women.  It's a short turnaround for the women as they host Michigan State on Thursday, New Year's Day at noon and 3 days after that on Jan. 4, they play at Maryland.

A little #iuwbb news to go with this story: Australian forward Zoe Jackson, a class of 2026 commit IU already said is joining the team in January, is already in the U.S. and will be on the bench Monday vs Minnesota, per a program spokesperson. She will not dress.

On the pre-game, Austin Render said Wiseman is still out as is Z.  He also confirmed our Australian Zoe Jackson has enrolled and practicing with the team but the plan all along has been for her to redshirt and be ready for the start of the 26-27 season.

After 1, Hoosiers lead 18-13.

The women did what they had to do in the 1st Q.  They shot 6-13 FG and 4-5 on 3s.  They grabbed 9 rebounds vs 7 for Minny but more importantly Minny had just 1 offensive board.   Lenee 8 pts and Shay 7 in the Q.

Minny 26-23 lead with 4:50 left in the 2nd.  Exerting their superior rebounding with 15 total and 6 their own misses.

Game is over  Minny leads 43-28 with 4:41 left in the 3rd.  We've yet to score a single point this Q and committed 6 TOs.

I hate that IUWBB has had this fall off.  Most of the B1G has jumped up and we’ve moved down.  I’ve always been a “In Moren, I trust” but something just isn’t right.  Feel like Mens team is going to have a similar type year.  But I’m actually a tad more optimistic about the Men as sad as that is.

It sucks that Assembly Hall will be so empty for the remaining games. I know Aaron has said our fanbase is too fair-weather, but I can't blame people for not going. This is terrible basketball.
