He last coached in college during the 2012-2013 season.

I knew that.  Thanks.

Well, we have an ex-NBA coach.  Obviously not quite the same to compare a winner against a non-winner in different situations and levels of success.

One would really have to vet BS to ascertain how he would recruit, staff, game, ...  Is he really up to the all-consuming rigors of college-level coaching and fund raising?  Especially after the NBA stint.

A lot of us, including me, think that he would be a serious upgrade and most importantly a winner at this level.  But, Dolson needs to make darn sure the next coach is a winner, is smart, and capable and willing.  No more of this mailing in the effort.

I just won't believe it until I see it.

Psshh - c'mon Dave!

While I agree with you in that I'll believe it when I see it...

He would be an absolutely fabulous hire that would have astronomically high chances of succeeding as the coach at IU, with fewer 'it could go wrong' variables than any other possibility. Not only is he proven to be a fantastic college coach with zero personal issues; fundraising and program profile would absolutely explode.
