Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 17, 2025 Posted January 17, 2025 So which IUWBB shows up? The one that barely got by NW; the one that played very well at Iowa, or the one that didn't play very well last night against Illinois? USC (16-1) (6-0) is riding a 12-game winning streak and its only loss came on its home court. USC averages 85 ppg with an average winning margin of 30 pts. They shoot 46% / 32% / 76%. They hold their opponents to 34% and 27%. They grab 44 rebounds/game with a +10 margin over their opponents. Only two double digit scorers but they account for 44 pts/gm. JuJu Watkins at 25.5 ppg and Kiki Iriafen at 18.6 ppg. Hoosiers can't afford to bring anything less than an 'A' game to have any chance at a win. Women then have 5 days off before a west coast road trip to Oregon on the 24th and Washington on the 27th. Radio Live Stats WayneFleekHoosier and colonel06 2 Quote

FloridaHoosierGirl Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 Impressive run so far. Hope they can keep it going. Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote
FloridaHoosierGirl Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 Some questionable fouls there. Ball don't lie. colonel06 1 Quote
TheWatShot Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 Guess we're not allowed to double-team Watkins. Couple soft whistles so far. Quote

Must have heard me and decided to make a liar out of me. 19-14 Hoosier lead after 1Q. USC just 3-12 FG . Parrish picked up 2 fouls. Joe_hoopsier 1 Quote
TheWatShot Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 Here they come. It was only a matter of time. 12 points in their last 4 possessions. Quote
TheWatShot Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 In 2 and a half minutes we go from up 11 to down 1. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 19, 2025 Author Posted January 19, 2025 4 of our 5 starters each have 2 fouls. So much for home cookin'. RaceToTheTop and FloridaHoosierGirl 2 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 19, 2025 Author Posted January 19, 2025 Apparently we're giving USC too much of a game so the refs will have to provide some help. JerryYeagley23 and FloridaHoosierGirl 2 Quote
TTT Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 Though USC wins this game anyway…refs are not going to let IU Ladies win…refs keeping IU Ladies in check. Parrish has been held back by refs calling cheap fouls on her ever since joining the big ten 3 years ago. FloridaHoosierGirl 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 19, 2025 Author Posted January 19, 2025 USC wins the 2nd Q and leads 38-32 at the half. Quote

TheWatShot Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 Striplin has 3 fouls and three other starters have 2. I can't see us winning this with that kind of foul trouble. When you're facing a team with this much talent, about the only way to equalize it is to be physical and make them uncomfortable. If we have to give them space because of foul problems we'll get cooked. FloridaHoosierGirl and Class of '66 Old Fart 1 1 Quote
TTT Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 The refs helped USC take away momentum that IU Ladies had and getting USC over the hump. Again are Ladies college refs betting on games?(point spreads, winners and losers). Quote

(USC later in second quarter got some questionable calls against them after game changed in their favor) FloridaHoosierGirl 1 Quote
