Gotta put the UCLA game behind us.  Wasn't our best game by far, but UCLA is the #1 ranked team for a reason.  2 road trips this week.  First to Northwestern (7-8) (0-4) and just 5-5 on their home court and on a 3-game losing streak losing these 3 games by an average of 23 pts.  On paper, it should be an IU win but we can't overlook NW with a road trip to Iowa next Sunday.  Iowa (12-3) (2-2) but 6-1 at home.   

NW only shoots 27% on 3s and they average 16 TO/gm.  They do have 5 players averaging in double figures.  Despite the team's low 3-pt. average they do have 2 girls over 40% -- Taylor Thomas at 43% but she's only attempted 7 total shots.  The real threat would be Casey Harter at 41% (19-48).  Their best rebounder is Taylor Williams at 9/gm.  

Trivia.  NW has a sophomore, Rachel Mutombo, who is a niece of Dikembe Mutombo who sadly passed away last September.

We went scoreless the first 3 minutes of the 2Q and NW closed the gap.  After a combined 12 points in the 1st Q, Yarden and Sydney just 2 points in the 2nd Q.  We're only shooting 36% overall and 23% (3-13) on 3s.

We had 20 pts in the 1st Q and only 26 since!

HOOSIERS ESCAPE.   68-64 win over the Wildcats.    Thankfully we hit 16-18 FT on the night.  That's about the only thing we did well tonight.

Gritty and tough, this team.  But also severely lacking in the kind of talent we’ve been accustomed too.  This team really struggles to score the rock.  
 

Curious to see how this season turns out but lots of red flags a flying.
