TE Andrew Barker from Kokomo IN committed this morning, 6/23, on his OV.

The defensive staff has been incredibly active on social media for the past 2-3 hours so I would expect a few more commits to pop over the next 24-48 hours.

One name to keep an eye on is Indy native and Illinois commit WR Davion Chandler, seeing the IU flip is trending.

Visits for the Nebraska game

https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/report-5-star-class-of-2025-qb-julian-lewis-will-be-iu-football-guest-for-nebraska-game/

QB - Julian Lewis - USC Commit
EDGE - Tyrone Burrus - Louisville Commit
S - Byron Baldwin - IUFB Decommit
DL  - Benny Patterson III - Cincinnati Commit

I've watched Benny P for the last three seasons. Lots of reps. Plays 3 technique but can play end if needed. I feel like he gets doubled almost every play (maybe not it just seems that way) and has battled nagging injuries (ankle sprains, dislocated fingers, etc. etc.) every season. He causes problems due to him having to be doubled a lot. The times when he's not doubled you can really see his talent level elevated compared to his peers. It's just really rare he isn't doubled or it seems that way at least. Comes from the same school as IUFB's All-American LB Joe Huff. Good kid with a solid support system. He fits the mold the IUFB coaching staff look for when recruiting a player. He has recently picked up offers from LSU, Michigan, FSU, USF, and USC.  He has not received an offer from IU yet. That's all that I can really tell you about him.

Byron Baldwin is clearly a 'future re-commit'.

  • If Cig was pissed that he decommitted he wouldn't be invited back
  • If he wasn't going to re-commit he wouldn't come back after decommitting 'cause that would be embarrassing as hell.

I don't know jack, but that seems pretty obvious to me.

Maybe, personally I just think they're kids and want to experience the atmosphere. I mean, IUFB might also be pushing really hard to get him back. And now that NIL is here it might be business trip for Baldwin. Who knows. I like that he's going to be here though.

Thanks for pulling this together @Lebowski, I admire CCC's targeted approach to '25 recruitment as we are less than 50 days away from early signing.  The program has 20 verbals, so no need to cast a wide net - clear focus on the last 2-4 HS spots.  It feels 'good' to have a professional running the program.
