39% 3-point shooter.  FYI for those that follow the women's program, you might consider following this X account.  Not limited to sports but I've seen it referenced as the Trilly Donovan of women's basketball.

I'm so confused by his complaints. the baseball program is an issue currently? lol the women's basketball program is an issue? What am I reading!?

But Mercer isn't going to be on the hot seat after the injuries to Sinnard, Grable, Sheppard, and now Tibbitts. Not with how well he is recruiting.

Just being a casual fan of college baseball-- as @Banksyrules appears to be, you have to fully grasp the Northern School disadvantage we're at... it's real.

It's a disadvantage. But you know what top SEC and ACC assistant coaches wanted that job.  Yes it's a hurdle but there were people in the business that would have embraced it. We didn't do a proper hiring process and it *%^& off a lot of people for not given a shot at an interview.  Now I don't know  now because I'm out of the athletic circle at UNC and Duke.

As far as the women are concerned, I don't think there's an issue at all right NOW. However, I can see a world we're someone else will eventually offer her a bag that coach can't resist because she's hungry (to win it all). Someone else will figure out quickly that she's quite special. If we stand pat and not up our resources and NIL money that gives that bad outcome more fuel.   Not saying it has to be the level of Men's bball or football of course but it does need to get better.

I'll just leave at that. I'm having a day and trying to calm down donors from blowing a gasket.

I'm ultra-confused. What are donors upset about, exactly? Seems completely out of thin air.

Somehow, 5 years later after multiple successful seasons, Mercer is an issue because we didn't look at SEC/ACC assts that would jump right back to the SEC/ACC as soon as they could?

Your complaints are confusing.

I work as an independent consultant for Duke and UNC.  I at times deal with donors for the universities. Nothing to do with the topic.

All I'm saying is that we could have been a lot better off.  I just disagree we're we can be. I bow down to your all knowing intellect.

Jesus christ, another poster today that can't converse without being personal. Sorry for being confused/asking your questions. It won't happen again.

Stanford’s Kiki Iriafen has entered the transfer portal with a “do not contact” mark, a source tells @TheNextHoops. She averaged 19.4 ppg and 11 rpg as a junior.
Think maybe her retiring head coach could put in a good word or 2 for IU?

Insert prayer emoji? I doubt it though, we don’t seem to be at the level to land the biggest fish yet. Nil?

After noticing the visitations of some top portal players to different schools Indiana Ladies program remains Stealthy.

Doesn’t appear we have what it takes to target and land the biggest of fish. Moren and staff seem to hit more than not, so, curious to see who it ends up being.

Problems with the Transfer Portal:

 1. instead of tracking and communicating with a prospect for 1 to 3+ years, coaches and players have a few weeks to consider, assess, communicate, and decide. Seems rushed and hectic, to say the least.

 2. if a player has been in demand, after they commit how could they be “coached”, i.e. actually follow the advice or orders of anyone? Wouldn’t they have a swelled head and be beyond criticism? If they don’t play full-time, isn’t it a sure thing that they will be in the portal again?

 3. don’t the rich get richer? Isn’t this all boiling down to a faceoff between South Carolina and UConn, and maybe one or two more “megateam” wannabes? You’ve got “pretenders” like USC, UCLA, or Duke, but will they just be slapped down as impudent by the true “big boys”?

 4. with that said, IU has to participate. If Faith Wiseman is Freshman of the Year, and Beaumont & Lamendola step up, we'll be ok. But the portal gives you "proven performance" and "known quantities".

A few thoughts.

Agree. If they want to continue being a top 3 conference team, top 15 national, host tournament games, and continue getting a crowd it is a must to get two really quality players. If they don’t do that attendance will dwindle as quick as it rose, and after adding quality programs to the big ten will be mid pack in the conference. This is a big portal and a big year.

Per Fanatical Hoosier WB…. Visit and a lot of communication going on with IU Ladies and Shay Ciezki from Penn State (May be between IU and Clemson as favorites).  IU Ladies and Ciezki following one another plus weekend concert and visit.

Per Fanatical Hoosier WB Lucy Olsen, Maddie Schrerr, and Kiki Iriafen scheduled visits to Iowa this week.  Not completely sure on degree of accuracy.
