LamarCheeks Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 Probably wouldn't have made a difference but still ... I go back to when we were up 15-9. We were really clicking on offense and were getting defensive stops. Then CTM pulled Mack. I know she needs a blow every and now and then, but the timing was really odd. Really took us out of our rhythm. Never got it back. FloridaHoosierGirl 1 Quote

Hoosierfan1901 Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 Just need to focus on the Big 10 tournament and trying to host for the 1st weekend Quote
Todd41 Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 We should have just ran out the clock. The 20-point loss is going to hurt even more to an unranked team. Quote
TheWatShot Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 Guess we felt like losing by 20 instead of 16. Quote
Banksyrules Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 I got locked out of my home and when I get in I see this. This is my fault. FloridaHoosierGirl 1 Quote

Your house did not want you to throw items around the rooms so it kept you out. You must have one of those "smart" homes. Banksyrules, OliviaPope40 and pappy1865 3 Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 Short of beating Iowa, I don't see IU hosting the first weekend. Quote
TheWatShot Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 I can't shake the feeling Clark is going to drop 40+ on us Thursday night, we'll get blown out again and we'll end up as a 5 or 6 seed. That just doesn't compute given how good we were a year ago and how well this season has gone up until now. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 This team just doesn't seem to be very mentally tough. To use a terrible cliche, when we get punched in the mouth -- we don't respond. Todd41 1 Quote
TTT Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 Illinois gave IU problems last year at IU but IU was able to win. Weaknesses exposed and lack of mid range game both offensively and also defensively allowing opponents getting to rim for layups. Guard quickness that is good IU Ladies have difficulty containing them. And no help from L.M., J.L., Or L.B. part of the near future of IU Ladies Basketball. Lacking team physicality (except for Holmes). Quote
Todd41 Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 Maryland beat Illinois by 16 on the road last Sunday. We cannot afford to lose to Iowa and Maryland. That would give us a 1-3 (counting today) finish in the regular season. Quote
OliviaPope40 Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 Good thing I missed this game didn't have today off. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 19, 2024 Author Posted February 19, 2024 People, people, people. I left you unsupervised this afternoon so I could play Grandpa and this is how you pay me back! Read the thread and the box score and not much more to be said. Simply have to have our shite together Thursday night. Syd played but only 6 minutes. Was that the plan? Did she re-injure her foot? Was she physically not ready? Anybody have any answers or thoughts? Quote
TTT Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 Watching Parrish play briefly whether called ready or not….an unchallenged rebound but definitely not impactful. Quote
