Well, we did this to some pretty good teams a year ago. 

 

My overreaction is that this is an early warning sign that the success we achieved last year likely won't be repeated. I didn't expect a win, but I also didn't expect us to look completely outmatched.

For some reason I just thought of a Bob Knight halftime speech from Season on the Brink: "We're getting hammered, I mean hammered. There's almost no reason to play the GD second half."

Obviously not playing well. But needs to be recognized this is a bad matchup for us. We don’t play two bigs. Most women’s programs don’t, especially that are athletic with the size. Tough early season road game. We’ve only played a couple exhibition games. Good early teaching moment to get punched in the mouth. We still have great 1-5 talent. We’ll rebound after some tough film sessions and practices. We won’t miss this many threes again this season.

The Real McCoys beating up the Pretenders.

Noticeable difference in physicality.  Bigger, quicker, and more bounce in Stanford.

3 hours difference time zone….for years big ten teams (Ohio State and Michigan) had same challenges in the New Years Day Rose Bowl.

We're working hard to get really nice, open looks from 3.
