As reported by ESPN taking it for what it is.

Coach Teri Moren said after the game that Holmes was available in case of emergency and she's optimistic the senior will be able to play in Monday's second-round game, when the Hoosiers will be chasing their third-straight Sweet 16 appearance.

Wonder if we'll hold her out of the starting lineup on Monday and wait to see how the flow of the game is going.

Seth Tow -

Talked to Mackenzie Holmes during #iuwbb's open locker room period. She said she's been practicing, but they've been precautious after she was banged up in Minneapolis. That's what led to her absence today. She said she could have played if the game was close.

Does Holmes play at 50% 75% or 100% (100% that would be very to unrealistic optimistic) equals great opportunities for 7 or 8 other IU Ladies from Parrish (looking for Parrish to continue stepping up her game to greatness) and the rest of the IU Ladies in game plan adjustment and strategy.

Tennessee Tech game:  Excellent coaching adjustment game plan and team flexibility in going from a full strength plan A to a plan B game plan even if it’s a 16 seed opponent.

I expect Oklahoma State to be opponent Monday and they have played pretty close most all their games close in losses and have some decent wins.  Same can be said of Miami.

IU Ladies Sweet 16 Champs again.

Lilly gets the honor.

L.M has fit in great as IU Lady Hoosier.  L. M. Was great being efficient, effective and very dependable on both ends showing assertiveness.

Did L.M. grow 1 inch?  Last year I seen her listed at 6’2” mostly, I thought.  Maybe one time at 6’3.”  IU Ladies roster has L.M. listed as 6’3.” which to me that extra inch is a great thing

Ohio State is down 15 to James Madison mid-2nd quarter. Probably got them right where they want them.

Upset brewing in our region as #5 Washington State is getting dog walked by #12 Florida Gulf Coast mid-4th quarter.

Perfect Wazzu was only team IU could face before Elite 8 with a star center.

Miami, Nova, and Florida Gulf Coast all guard heavy. Getting past elite 8 against Angel Reese or Alissa Pili will be nearly impossible without at least some form of Mack. However, even Nova who has Maddy Siegrist (who is every bit as good as Caitlyn Clark) has no good post players around her. IU struggled with Iowa in 2022 not because of Clark, but Czinano torching a gimpy Holmes. IU can limit star guards even with an injured Mack as long as they don't have to contend with a top post player as well.

IU should be able to get to final 8 regardless of Holmes. Than they will need her or it will be goodnight Charlie.
