You can run along the baseline -- but only after a made basket.

Thats a really lazy take. We are 27-3 btw. But heck, put girls in against OSU that haven't played meaningful mins all year in a tournament game. That seems like great coaching!

I'd like to see a rule -- thought it would've hurt us today (as if we didn't hurt ourselves enough) -- that if you have to take a timeout because you cannot inbound the ball after a basket, you lose your ability to run the baseline.

We will never agree but I was not calling for long stints. This team is still a great team.  Had a really bad half of basketball, but still a great team.

It is. The refs missed that on Yarden. Shocking, right?

Don’t get me wrong guys great year and great team. It’s just crunch time now. “Figuring it out on your own” should be eliminated from the equation. Coach Moren is a basketball genius but even a genius needs better advice from time to time.

So true. Should still retain a #1 seed given the other teams losing and keep the #2 overall but that could slide if Maryland were to blow out Iowa and then win the title.

I'm certainly not a rules guru, but I'm pretty sure that even if you call a timeout, you can still run the baseline after a made basket.

Players usually ask the official in that situation.  Did not see before they handed the ball to Garzon to see if she did or did not ask.

All I'm saying.  Our team has loads of experience and talent... a coach shouldn't be needed to walk them through how to win a game up 24 in the 2nd half.

So.. 16-17 days until we play someone decent. Might sit Holmes the first rd. 

No way there is a comeback if she was healthy. 

Sadly this may be an issue for Holmes the rest of the way.  It’s equivalent to a Scott May or Kent Benson injury type thing for IU Ladies.  IU Ladies can still get to the sweet 16 but all bets are off getting to final 4.  

Rest will definitely help but it could be a tough barrier to hurdle.  Holmes was hitting like 70% from the field and currently her stability to get off the floor reminds me of when she came back last year.  Just not the same.

And yes a healthy Holmes at near or at her best she would have been available and active for OSU press defense like she was during the season. IU Ladies are not able to replace that and OSU smelled blood in the water.
