I keep seeing the phrase "not ready" but I look around college basketball and see plenty of non 5 star freshman that get playing time. Not saying they should play a ton of minutes but sometimes I wonder if we're holding back the development of guys that could help the team because we aren't letting them play through things just because they're freshman.

We already have two freshman playing through things. Not many good teams have more than that in their rotation unless their the uber-talented kind.

Or they fit the system well like we see at Purdue and Wisconsin with Essegian.

TJD is Steph Curry in a low pressure practice. I wonder what changes that much in college games that he not only doesn’t make but rarely takes anything outside a couple feet?

That’s what’s frustrating for me. It’s necessary for his personal success and the teams success. As open as he’s been from 12-15ft from the basket, he could do an entire free throw routine before each shot. Why waste your time in the summer practicing shooting to never attempt any?

That’s the $1 million dollar question!  Maybe CMW actually doesn’t want him to take them from a team standpoint.  As we all know, CMW seems pretty stubborn when it comes to changing things up, for example, the starting lineup.  We all know, CMW likes to run his offense inside/out but that seems to stifle TJD and plays right into the hands of the opposing teams defense

I thought Mike had said Trayce can hit that shot, he just needs to take them. Could be mistaken, but I believe he said it a presser.

Yes he did but what he says in a presser telling fans what they want to hear and actually playing that way is two different things

Yes he did but what he says and what he actually does could be two different things.  I really hope that is not the case and it is more of TJD’s unwillingness to go out of his comfort zone to shoot outside of 5 feet!  Something doesn’t add up in Denmark, lol!
