Smooth would be a good word to use to describe AJ Dybantsa. The 6-foot-8 class of 2026 small forward is capable of getting his shot at any point in the possession. He has great length with a natural explosive burst. The handle is efficient within two or three dribbles, and he is playing with better balance, which is enabling him to rise up vertically to get his shot off in the half-court. Simply put, Dybantsa has ‘it’. He wants the ball in the big moments, and he has the confidence – and the skill – to get his offense going. At times he it is hard to remember he is playing up two age groups as a 2026 in the 17u age group. He finished with 25 points and 8 rebounds, going 10-for-19 from the field. What I’ve seen of Dybantsa, I think he’s the best prospect in HS basketball, regardless of class, and maybe in the last several classes. That kid’s just special. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted July 7, 2023 Author Posted July 7, 2023 Joe Tipton's comments from Thursday Peach Jam games. Jasper Johnson of Team Thad can score in bunches. The Lexington native did a great job of getting downhill, showing nice tough around the rim. Kentucky, Kansas, Indiana, and others have extended offers. Finished with 24 points and six rebounds. Rakease Passmore of Team Thad is a high-level athlete. He does a great job of getting to the rim and has a strong body to finish through contact. A good rebounder for his position. A phenomenal defender. Finished with 19 points and eight rebounds. The next 2 names don't have offers but......................... Tyran Stokes of Vegas Elite is the definition of a man-child. The 6-foot-7, 225-pound small forward just finished his freshman year of high school but you’d never know it. He already has a college ready body and elite athleticism. Very explosive player that loves to get downhill. Finished with 14 points. Maine United’s Cooper Flagg, On3’s No. 1 ranked prospect in the 2025 class, drew quite a few eyeballs Thursday afternoon. In a standing room only crowd, the 6-9 wing did not disappoint. Flagg showed us why he is one of the best prospects in high school basketball, regardless of class. He can do it all, on both ends of the floor. He can act as the primary ball handler and score in a variety of ways, whether that’s getting all the way to the rim, or pulling up from mid range. Some players only rely on the offensive end, but Flagg is an incredible defender and is an excellent rim protector. He finished with 38 points, 16 rebounds, 6 assists and 11 blocks. Duke’s Jon Scheyer, as well as assistants from Kentucky, Kansas, UConn, Michigan, and others looked on. Demo, HoosierHoopster and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote

He is a smooth shooter who moves non-stop off the ball. He plays with toughness, rebounding his position. Mullins can attack the rim in straight lines and is a good passer on the move. After going for 20-plus in both of yesterday’s games, the 6-foot-4 shooting guard went for 18 in this one. lillurk and go iu bb 2 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted July 9, 2023 Author Posted July 9, 2023 Travis Branham on Bryson Tiller from the UAA event. Bryson Tiller has solidified himself amongst the best in the 2025 class due to his blend of physical tools and ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. He hasn't always been the most polished power forward when it comes to his skillset but the No. 5 overall ranked player in 2025 showed that he is putting in the work and expanding his game. On Saturday, Tiller showed his improving ability to make shots out to 18-feet while also flashing some vision and passing ability. Tiller impacted the game in various ways and after storming out to a huge lead, his team took a gut punch and ended up taking home a loss but provided a valuable learning moment to value every possession on both ends of the floor. Tiller caught many eyes at NBPA Top100 Camp last week and his progression is proving to be more consistent and is among the reasons why he is so highly touted.
