Class of '66 Old Fart

IUBB vs Michigan - 01/23/22 @ 3:30 on CBS

Recommended Posts

I almost wanted Durr to try a 3 yesterday when they were leaving him wide open. He can't shoot it any worse than Race does.
Me to. I guarantee you he can shoot it better than race. He has a pretty shot I am convinced from about the old school 3 line. Wont take much work to extend his range imo

I like the fact that CMW took responsibility for their loss and didn’t point fingers at the players. He is learning that as a coaching staff, they can’t assume the leadership is there after a big game to be ready for their next game.

If Woody is taking responsibility for the loss, maybe he was the one running in and out of Big Red Liquors for the team. They looked hungover against Michigan on Sunday, just like they did the last time they played a Sunday game.

Perhaps!  The under age players have to get their alcohol from someone, it may as well be their coach

I don’t know why the slow starts would get blamed  on Kopp and Stewart. X, TJD and RT are in that starting lineup too.

It looks and feels like X is on another level of energy with that starting group. TJD has gotten off to slow starts the last few games, Kopp and P Stew have been struggling to be makers, and Race doesn't seem like he's been playing with the same fire recently.

Starting, stopping, and everything in between hasn't been good for Kopp in conference play. He's money at the FT line though.

But he doesn’t get there.  One change could make all the difference.  Take Kopp out and either add Galloway or Geronimo

That was kind of the point, ditto for P Stew shooting threes. Great they're good to great at it but doesn't mean much if they're not doing it. If we have tools in the arsenal let's maybe, crazy idea, use them. I guess the good news going into the PSU game is they don't have a big like Williams/Edey or the 25 year old sophomore for Michigan. Hopefully, TJD is back healthy and dominates Harar if we don't use P Stew and other weapons. Hopefully, the other weapons decide they're going to go today and we put a whipping in PSU. Hopefully, we're not hoping that our shots and layups just go in too.

Keep in mind, Penn State out rebounded us by a lot and TJD only had 5 rebounds

He averaged 19 points per game at East Tennessee State. He shot over 40% from three in ACC play as a freshman at Pitt.   Ball State and Indiana aren't 'above his level'.

Oh yeah, I forgot all about that team that went 0-18 in the ACC and 8-24 overall. You ought to really look at stats closer if you want to bring that up. What about a team record of 17-44?? What about a lower FG% than 3pt FG%?? What about leading the team on turnovers?? The IU games have already proven that he is non-factor in ANY WAY most of time. He doesn't even have an affect on IU with turnovers or shooting a lot. He is just pointless.....Did you see that airball 3 with 4 to go in 1st half against Penn St.???? Sorry, I don't mean to ba an ***, but I can't help it.

He’s shooting around 45% from 3.  Other than the air ball you brought up, when he shoots it, I feel like it’s going in.  He’s a much better shooter than Kopp is.  Actually, he’s our best 3 point shooter, so he does serve a point.  Plus, he’s an IU Hoosier, we want all of them to do well and succeed
