Only Florida Gulf Coast (22) holds a longer streak than IU. The last time Indiana lost a road game was at Maryland on Jan. 4, 2020 (84-80). Other active win streaks for IU include a current six-game win streak and have won their last 12 Big Ten games dating back to last season.
  • The Hoosiers improved to 3-0 on Sunday after a win over preseason league favorite No. 6/8 Maryland. Graduate student guard Ali Patberg led the way with 18 points while junior forward Mackenzie Holmes (15 points, 14 rebounds) and senior forward Aleksa Gulbe (17 points, 10 rebounds) each put up double-doubles.
  • Gulbe was named to the Big Ten Player of the Week honor roll after her double-double performance against the Terps. The Riga, Latvia native scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the win for her second double-double of the season.
  • They will also look to match its best conference start on Wednesday night at Wisconsin. IU opened up the 2019-20 Big Ten season with a 4-0 record.
  • IU has won seven-in-a-row against the Badgers including a pair of wins in 2020-21. It has won nine of the last 10 meetings between the two schools.

Post-game notes.

Kaitlin Peterson played a career-high 14 minutes as well. She was IU’s only guard off the bench making the trip to Madison. Chloe Moore-McNeil missed her second straight game, Grace Waggoner was not present on the bench and Keyarah Berry remains out in concussion protocol.

Moren said postgame for the second straight game the team is dealing with COVID-19 concerns, but did not state if Moore-McNeil or Waggoner have COVID.

IU has had two games canceled due to cases this season, but neither was due to instances in IU’s own program.

Maybe the Womens team can give the guys some pointers on how to win at the Kohl Center.

For sure. Although it does help that the women's team at Wisconsin has been by far the worst in the Big Ten for a long time.

I’ve been concerned about the availability of the bench. I was in attendance on Sunday against Maryland and noticed several players not dressed. Grace Waggoner tried to play but was quickly subbed out to put some sort of wrap around her waist. It made me think that she is dealing with a back problem.  I don’t think Chloe was even at the game, so I’m hoping she is recovering from whatever is preventing her from participating in this memorable season.
