One of, if not the most, over-hyped prospects I’ve ever seen in HS. Top 15 kid and MCDAA based 100% on elite physical tools without a single playable skill. Not 1. To his credit he’s turned himself into a rotation piece for a good team by the time he’s a senior and he plays hard.

Can’t imagine it won’t be Dayton. Will have officially come full circle.

Cupps definitely needs to leave the Big Ten.  The Atlantic 10 or the MAC would be a good fit for him.

Seeing some his highlights I would agree.

Immediately goes to #1 on my personal PG board. Loved him in HS. Has size. Good athlete. Tough and fearless. Defends. Really clever getting in the lane. Has vision. Love that he’s a lefty because righty’s always underplay a lefty’s strong hand, particularly in scramble or open court situations. The shooting needs to get better but I’m willing to bet on that. Go get Lewis and Hines and you’ve solved your 1 and 5 problems for the next couple of years.

Someone made a good point here. Staff connections and relationships being what builds rosters. Rod Clark recruited Estrella and Bishop Boswell. Carr was involved with Fru and possibly Rooths. Add the the two ND players  and that's a pretty good haul.

Slick Rick had kind words for the Hines lad:  Although Hines didn’t score during SHU’s 65-60 loss at St. John’s on Jan. 20, recording three rebounds, two assists and a block instead, Hall of Fame head coach Rick Pitino nonetheless had postgame praise for the freshman bigman.

“Hines may be one of the best backup centers in the BIG EAST—if not basketball,” Pitino said. “He’s a great player with great hands.”

I don’t love Boswell, but Estrella would be a really nice piece.

Scrolling through this thread and quick glimpse of this picture I though wrong thread. Looked like the Silent-Killa-Kel'el-Ware.
