Interesting to be 1 spot ahead of Providence with a combined 6-2 quad 1/2 record to our 2-3 record.

Similarly interestingly, The Athletic's bracketology this morning (I know, it's January) has us playing Providence in a 12/5 matchup.

My guess is efficiency is holding them back? They're low in KenPom, too. They've been blown out in their two losses and didn't really feast on their cupcakes (meaning they didn't blow them out by 20+ points.

Look at Texas Tech at #25, 1-3 in quad 1 and 9-0 in quad 4. Weird.

Yeah a teams overall NET number is not nearly as important as the resume inside.  Committee uses a teams NET number as a sorting tool.    In this case once committee sorted the teams they would see Providence would deserve a better seed based on the resume.

Good.

Even though I'm guessing we're not, we should be the 5 seed in that matchup.

We're not, but it's an improvement from being the 12/12 Dayton game in their last edition.

Even weirder is that 7 of their 10 wins are against teams 300+ NET and their Non conference SOS is 153.   This stuff will work itself out but that’s interesting

It’s like watching the stock ticker after every game.

Where are you pulling noncon SOS from? TTU has a noncon SOS of 355 on KP, oof!
