I thought they looked great running on that drive including Scott. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Scott was breaking out for multiple huge plays almost every game last year. It’s like he’s struggling to get those 5-7 yards now. Quote

Aeggie Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 I guess that didn't end up being much of a 2 minute drill but Ramsey shouldn't have come in quite yet. Gotta get Penix live minutes there that would've only been his 2nd 2 minute drill I think 323SGrant 1 Quote

I think teams are stuffing the box more trying to make Penix beat them since he is young. But I think we are definitely doing a better job today mixing in the play action and shorter routes to get the defense to get into more nickel packages. Love the playcalling today.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Walking Boot of Doom Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Man this EIU team is BAD. But damn Penix makes this offense so much more potent. I love it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
LIHoosier Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Hey, Ramsey threw the ball for over 30 yards. F*** you, DeBord mark1981 and Hoosierfan2017 2 Quote
Walking Boot of Doom Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Good seeing Ramsey move the ball! Once again, this EIU team is helpless, but still. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

Ramsey's arm isn't as strong as Penix's, but he's not the noodle arm DeBord made him out to be, either. Quote

I mean, not going to call it completely DeBord based on 5 minutes against EIU, but I also never fully believed it was just DeBord or just Ramsey. I still think Penix is far and away the better option. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Penix might be the better option, but the bigger change is the OC. We finally have someone who knows what he's doing. Quote

mdn82 Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Biggest victory margin in IU history regardless of shutout. Really proud of how they came to play this week.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Walking Boot of Doom, Hoosier Roots, Stuhoo and 2 others 5 Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app I was one pointing at DeBord last year, but I never wanted it to seem I was strictly blaming him. As a passer Ramsey is limited, but he's not 5 yards within the LOS limited; he's wasn't going to/won't bomb it 50 yards to take the top off, but he could/can hit the mid range enough to not limit the offense as much as it was last season. Frankly, I wanted to see what Tuttle could do. I'm just not a fan of so called 'dual threat' QBs, I've seen far too many that look to run first and can't pass a lick. Walking Boot of Doom 1 Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Doesn't bother me at all if a QB can't run, truth be told I'd prefer that over one who looks to run first. Passing is a necessity for QBs, running isn't. Quote
