Hopefully stream actually works tonight.

In my world now as a cord cutter it no longer matters if a game is on actual cable or streamed online as I watch everything on a computer (youtube tv or streams) with an hdmi cord plugged into the big screen.

Update: Stream working and underway.

Just curious, is there any buffering problems?

Not so far. Only thing lacking is camera quality not quite what a TV broadcast is but still good (streaming youtube tv has same camera quality as watching cable).

Well like UNC make your shots count. We only have 1 and we put it in the net.

For the half as a whole we gave the ball away twice stupidly in a terrible position at midfield in the first 5 min.

After that we pretty much ate Dartmouth's lunch and dominated despite not getting shots. We controlled possesion and created several opportunities.

Dartmouth semi parked the bus but not totally and is playing a good game. Their style is very similar to the New Hampshire team who ironically knocked Dartmouth out to play in Btown last year.

While styles will vary, most remaining teams on schedule are on Dartmouth's level in that they are solid tourney teams but we are still better, faster and more skilled overall. How we do against this level of competition will determine how good season is.

Lastly clearly the hype going into this season is back to normal level after last year as crowd really strong tonight despite some rain falling. Similar conditions to first game last year and crowd double what it was from that game it looks like.

As has happened so often with these elite lower level teams our speed got to them and of course Dorsey the lightning rod ran by everyone and took a pass from Gutman and scored 1 v 1 vs goalie.

Dorsey reminds me a lot of Dwight Freeney in that he may be invisable for most of game but then he makes that one lightning run that he scores on and wrecks the game for the opponent (in Freeney's case it would be the one strip sack that changed the game after doing nothing all game).

Final 3-0!

Our backline in midseason form and allowed only one real chance (and 2 shots) to Dartmouth on a shot at the near post that hit the post. Timmy Mehl was off tonight with the 2 early giveaways I mentioned but otherwise backline is as good as last year and Maher looks like a capable replacement to Lillard.

Our offense may miss Toye but I still can't tell. While we dominated we only had 11 shots and 4 good chances. Those were 2 of the goals (the third one as I said was awful goalie error) as well as a Buckmaster shot at point blank range and a Palazzolo shot saved off line. Like UNC we were very efficient but our passing in final third needs to improve as we are often times lacking there.

Overall a 3-0 win is big as it matches ND's 3-0 win from earlier and first tiebreak for classic championship is goals scored I believe if both us and ND are 2-0 after Sun.

Overall we look good and our no. 6 ranking probably matches how good we are. Also final crowd was a great 3,215 in the rain. We would of approached the 5,500 from the MSU game last year with good weather. The hype for IU soccer and play on the field feels like it is finally back to the glory days of 15 yrs ago again and for good reason. Now we need Archie to do the same with basketball.

One last thing: the depth on this team is maybe the best I have ever seen with 17 guys who are capable of starting on any team in America (the 11 who started tonight plus Kleyn, Palazzolo, Warr, Panchot, Glass and Caulfield) as well as elite freshman like Yeagley and Wittenbrink who can't taste the field right now because of said depth. This will be huge as the season goes on and other teams wear out from lack of depth much like Dartmouth did tonight.
