Basically recruiting or paying players it looks like. He was at Providence before my time. When I played they had a coach that made the team hold the ball at half court for the majority of the quarter. Games were in the 10's and 20's. Hated playing them haha.

I played at Paoli for Hinton my junior and senior year in 07-08. Had a player recruited from Floyd. He sat out our junior year and played senior year

Was a pretty good coach. We ran basically a five out system and shot a bunch of threes. Got up as high as third in 2A in a class that has Derek Elston and Deshaun Thomas

Hinton took the 1971 team to the final four vs East Chicago Washington. Close game.  I think like four points.  That was when the nickname “Super hicks” came into being.  I was in the 7th grade there at the time and remember some of the upper class men went to NAHS during sectional and released a bunch of white mice loose in the school with SONA in red on their backs.  Lol. $hit on New Albany.  Funny stories. They got in trouble!
