Why can't we ever have all teams clicking. Last two years defense has been rock solid and offense can't get it done. So frustrating.

Ellison 9 carries 53 yards. And i haven't seen him once in second half. Brookins 3 carries 4 yards and Williams 5 for 9 yards and a fumble. I would say that's puzzling. I hate the QB rotation, which I have been vocal about. But i don't get the musical chairs in general at these key positions.

Ellison was shaken up earlier in the game, they may be trying to be caution in a blowout.

I've seen more teams go to a running back by committee approach in the last few years, so it's not an outlandish concept.

Because, whether we like it or not, we are a bottom feeder in football. And we will be until we recruit better players. I know it's the chicken or egg argument, but we have to put better players on the field. Coach Allen's positive, I believe in you trust each other philosophy, will only take us so far. The next step requires better players.

Right my point is he is by far the most effective at the position. Keep giving him the rock. However, didn't know he was potentially hurt.

I mean you take away those ST mistakes at the beginning and this is a close game. This is still a bowl team, just playing a top 5 team in the country and they capitalized on our TO's.

I really like Allen. I think he will turn it around. But that is the issue. No depth and it comes down to recruiting. We were bad at defense for so long and now have a good starting group. However, the QB position and OL line have gotten worse the last few years.

Don't even ask, he'll get upset and say everyone is always against him. Lagow is clearly such a good QB and should be starting every game. He'll play good eventually!!

There is no reason why we can't at least be on the level of Northwestern, Iowa, and even Wisconsin in football. We have upgraded facilities, a beautiful campus, better weather than all three of those other teams. And, our girls can hold their own with anyone. That was my obligatory sexiest comment on a football forum. But, seriously, why are those programs usually better than us?

History of actually caring about football more than a few years? All of those schools you listed would classify themselves as a football school for my lifetime. They care about football like our fans care about basketball. It won't be easy to change. I feel we are on the right path within our Athletic Department of focus on football.

I honestly think we have a chance to win any of the remaining games especially since Mich and Wisky are at home. Will we, probably not. But if healthy we are good enough.

I think Old Friend's point was more that both Ramsey and Lagow have limitations, and I'd agree.  Just given the difference in age and potential I've prefer Lagow have to buy a ticket to see the field.
